The new group is finally set!  It was a very long, and difficult process for us, but our new members have been welcomed into our family.  Rehearsals are beginning soon, and we have a lot of great new music to get ready for you all.  Our first performance will be in the middle of October for Homecoming Week, and we can't wait!

SUNDAY, AUGUST 29, 2010 12:10pm

Well, after a very long lapse in updates, we have FINALLY gotten the website updated again.  There's still a lot of work to do since the group changed some duties, but rest assured, it will be kept up much better than it has in the past.

While you're looking around at the new awesomeness, be sure to check out the store, updated with new arrangements, as well as some new T-shirt designs.  There may be some new ones coming soon this year too...*hint hint*.

And, as always, auditions this year are coming up soon, so be sure to tell your friends to chech us out, and sing for us.  The new members will have their pages up just as soon as we get info from them, so even more new stuff will be here for you to enjoy.

So, greetings from the new school year, and here's to another year of awesomeness!

SUNDAY JANUARY 16, 2010 4:00pm

Greetings from the new decade!! The first week of the new semester is over and we're all settled back in to classes and rehearsals. I figured I'd take some time to update the site before homework and performances really start, so here's a rundown of new stuff you can find:

-Fellaz Store: Check out our new t-shirt designs for sale soon, as well as our album cover art if you haven't seen it already. You'll be moved by it and probably have to pre-order it.

-Members: Our new guy Jaise finally has a profile page. Yay!!

-Upcoming performances: lots and lots of stuff, and several more will go up soon once we work out some details.

-A new blog entry: be sure and check it out!....did you click on it? Heh heh heh. Sigh.

Also, just a quick thank you and hang in there to all those waiting for the new CD that we thought was coming like months ago. Post-production is more or less done, but NOW we're hung up on some unforeseen licensing issues. We're working through that however and there shouldn't need to be any changes made to the CD. Stay tuned!!

Oh, and happy MLK day!!! Enjoy your time off like we all will!!

WEDNESDAY DECEMBER 23, 2009 3:20pm

Well...the semester is over, we have our grades and now we're just resting up for a crazy semester of madness. We already have a National Anthem lined up for January 3 at Redbird Arena, ICCA, End of the Year Show and who knows what else will happen!! We'd like to thank everyone who made our fall semester amazing as well! We've had a lot of fun and can't wait to see what '10 will bring for us! Look out for our new CD and some new t-shirts, this years gonna be Fella-tastic. That was lame. I know.

TUESDAY NOVEMBER 17, 2009 10:17am

Wow...As I sit here fighting illness and eating a tasty Oatmeal Cream Pie, I find it unbelievable and ridiculous that this site hasn't been updated since the end of September. So much has happened since then!! I'm truly sorry for being neglectful, but hey. We're here now.

So, let's see...Our show was a huge success....thanks so much for coming out last weekend everyone! A big thanks to the ladies of Table for Twelve from Normal Community High School for opening for us. They were amazing! We've had lots of other performances, but they've all kinda melted together, so I'll just say yay gigs!

Currently, we're getting ready to wrap up the semester with our high school tour over Fall Break, and a Holiday Luncheon for University Advancement on December 4th. Oh, and my side project: I've decided that if this whole teaching thing doesn't pan out, I'm going to make a breakfast restaurant that delivers. How flippin' awesome does THAT sound? Anyway...

Lastly, we have some awesome news! The 'Fellaz will be taking their first plunge into the world of ICCA. We couldn't be more excited either. We'll be joining our lady friends, Secondary Dominance in representing ISU. I think it'd be awesome if we got slotted in the same quarterfinal...then we could organize some sweet ISU a cappella fan busses or something and get some of you peeps out there to cheer us on! If you want, you can see the entire lineup at the Varsity Vocals website. There look to be a lot of good groups this year. Us = Pumped!

Ok, I promise it won't be this long between updates ever again. Have a good holiday season everyone! Don't forget to preorder Opening Day!

WEDNESDAY SEPTEMBER 30, 2009 1:29am - SO BUSY!

Yikes, what a crazy couple of weeks it's been! We've barely had time to get ready for our performances, let alone update this thing. I'm finally here though! Now everyone will stop yelling at me to fix the performances page. Speaking of which, check it out! We're going to have our Fall Concert on Friday, November 6th. That's about all we know right now, cause trying to find a venue is next to impossible on this bustlin' busy campus (<-------alliteration. Score).

I'd be a huge huge jerk if I didn't thank the folks at the BCPA one more time for booking us for the SNC pre-show. Amazing audience, amazing venue, amazing people, and we got to see/meet SNC on top of it all! What an awesome night.

Well, bear with us. Heading into October it could very well be ages 'till this thing gets updated again, but we promise we're still here, singing and being awesome! Oh, and speaking of bearing with us, thanks for the bazillionth time for your patience on our album. It's comin'. We promise. It'll be worth it too!

Ok, bedtime. Try and stop me.

SUNDAY AUGUST 30, 2009 1:04am - 2009-2010 'FELLAZ

Wow. This a cappella thing is catching on here at ISU. Both us and the girls group, Secondary Dominance, had a record setting number of people who came out for auditions. I feel really bad we could only take one guy. So much of this is about timing...a lot of these guys could easily have made the group talent-wise. Congrats to everyone! You all should be proud and I hope you all keep singing. Truly fantastic.

Isn't Wes just the best at blogs?!?!?!?

Anyway, as of now, we're about three weeks away from our first gig (unless someone books us...HINT). That should be plenty of time to get our new guy caught up. B T dubs, his name is Jaise and he rocks! Possibly even rawks. Time will tell. Side note: expect some revamping to the members area soon. Duh. But yeah. We feel really good about this group and what we will be capable of accomplishing this year.

The new album has hit a tiny lull in post-production, and it's entirely our fault. Because of school we haven't been able to get out the latest batch of mix notes. It's still chugging along though! We're so new to this whole process. Thanks for being patient. Release date and track listing should be up any day now!

The year has officially begun! Watch out! Exclamation points are great!!!

WEDNESDAY AUGUST 27, 2009 11:07pm - AUDITIONS ARE DONE!

Wow auditions were great this year! We heard from so many talented guys it was so hard to decide who to call back. That's good though, the tougher it is the better everyone is getting. This is going to be a great year for the Fellaz, so keep in touch with us. Look out for new Fellaz merchandise, perhaps magnets, lanyards, key chains, stamps, book bags, posters and maybe even an Acafellaz shotglass? Who knows, but throw your ideas our way and we'll see what we can get to. Again, great job to everyone who auditioned, it will be awesome to see who the new Fella is!

-Wes

MONDAY AUGUST 24, 2009 12:49am - SURVIVED THE FIRST WEEK

I guess technically it's Tuesday morning. Eh. Anyway, we all survived the first week of class and our first gig! It was killer...I don't know how we found time to rehearse as much as we did. The performance went great though! Thanks to Clinton HS class of '69 for letting us sing at their reunion. A special thanks to Mike's dad, who thought of us and asked us to sing!

So in other news, auditions are creeping up on us, and we're pretty excited. We've been answering lots of questions from a lot of excited people. Keep the questions coming if you have them, and keep spreading the word! Only two-ish days to go and there'll be new Acafellaz. Ponder that for a second.

Did you ponder? No? Oh. Well then I'm going to bed.

WEDNESDAY AUGUST 12, 2009 - 'FELLAZ PRE-SHOW BEFORE SNC

Good news! The 'Fellaz are going to be performing a pre-show before the Straight No Chaser concert at the Bloomington (IL) Center for Performing Arts on Thursday September 24. This is pretty awesome. For those of you who don't know, this is the group who made the "12 days of Christmas Medley" on youtube. Originally from Indiana University, the founding members went pro and are making a great name for themselves. This is an awesome opportunity and you all should go see us both! Click here for ticket info, or visit our performances page.

TUESDAY AUGUST 11, 2009 - FIRST ENTRY

Welcome to the new site, suckas. Hope you like it. Those weird links and things were bugging me, and now that I somewhat know what I'm doing, it seemed easiest to just start from scratch. Plus it gave me something to do this summer, and now maybe Brian won't yell at me as much for not arranging any music.

So from what we've heard so far off the new album, it sounds like it's gonna be downright nastily epic (listen for yourself). We're so excited! Things are coming along great, and we should have a release date soon for all you folks who have already pre-ordered them. If you haven't, do it now! Click on that cute picture of us making a pyramid to your immediate left. Actually, finish reading this, and then go click on us.

Anyhoo, hope everyone's summer is going great. We can't wait to get back to campus and sing for alla y'all, and make new friends. We're gonna be diving right in with a gig in Clinton, IL the first weekend after school starts, then auditions, then more gigs. Always gigs. Speaking of auditions, if you or someone you know can sing then check out the audition info page.

Ok, enough for now. Get off your computer and go enjoy the last few days of summer! After you preorder that CD of course. See you in a couple weeks!

-Nate
